Meet Our Celebrated Ambassadors
SOS Children’s Villages Ambassadors are a vital part of our work internationally. Around the world, significant figures in a number of walks of life have shown their commitment to the children in our care by lending their name to our charity and helping to promote our work.
“SOS Children’s Villages is on the ground, helping support children who have lost their parents and extended families and providing them with a loving, nurturing environment.”
“I am proud to know that in Benin, children who may have lost everything else have not lost their chance to grow up in the wonderful environment that SOS Children’s Villages provides. On behalf of the children of Benin, please accept my thanks for the work you do.”
“SOS Children’s Villages provides the permanency, the support, the ability for these children to be able to take their shoes off and really kick back and learn about healing and learn about their lives.”
“SOS Children’s Villages is a first-rate organization and I very much admire everybody working there.”
Leonardo DiCaprio first became involved with SOS Children’s Villages in 2007 while filming the movie Blood Diamond in Mozambique. “SOS Children’s Villages in its noble and inspiring example offers love and hope to all children of the world.”
“I have decided to support SOS Children’s Villages because I think that an organization such as that, which is so focused on supporting children in need, deserves all our support.”
“I’d like to ask you to support – with all the energy you can – the emergency relief activities of SOS Children’s Villages.”
“The splendid work done by SOS Children’s Villages is charity where deeds speak louder than words.”
“I joined SOS Children’s Villages after my first visit to their facilities in Polynesia, where I was also able to meet the children. At SOS Children’s Villages a positive change can be seen in the children after a single year.”
“The SOS model of providing care for children without parental care is one of the best, as they are still in a family setting within their own country.”
