Rebecca has a Bachelor of Financial Administration as well as an MBA. Her business background includes working as a Chartered Accountant in private practice for 5 years before moving into more commercial roles within several large international mining companies as well as working for 7 years as a Commercial Manager for one of Australia’s largest supermarket chains.

Rebecca has a strong volunteering background having volunteered with the BC Children’s Hospital for the past 5 years. She volunteers regularly with the Child Life Department helping children and families cope with the stresses of life in hospital through play and other normalising activities. She is also a regular volunteer at the Thrift Store which raises money for the BC Children’s & Women’s Hospital.

Rebecca is on the Board of Directors for the BC Women’s Hospital Auxiliary & assists with their financial management. She was previously the Treasurer of the PAC at Queen Elizabeth Elementary and has also volunteered in various roles within Vancouver Thunderbirds Minor Hockey League.

Rebecca moved to Canada from Australia with her family 6 years ago and has since become a Canadian citizen. Having two young boys, she is passionate about working with children, especially those in need, as well as giving back to the community.
