An Evening of Song, Dance & Inspiration
December 7, 2007

Escape Into a World of Cultures:
Envision Financial and SOS Children’s Village BC present the 2nd Annual Peace on Earth celebration. Escape into a world of cultures with awe-inspiring performances by award recognized professionals and youth.
A true celebration of unity through diversity, performers from myriad cultures and genres will unite on stage to entertain and inspire. Dance will be centre-stage, with funk, rhythm tap, bhangra, traditional Korean elegance and First Nations masks demonstrating the power of movement. Unique Vietnamese and South African cultural instruments and sounds will open your eyes and ears to the music of the world. And of course there’s the human voice. A stellar collection of singers will take us on a wonderous musical journey.
Dexterious acrobats from The Underground Circus (creators former Cirque du Soliel acrobats) will take your breath away from the ground to the air.
And a special segment by Bluebird North, Where Writers Sing and Tell - a rare acoustic concert experience showcasing our treasured Canadian Songwriters, where not only exceptional music is heard but the audience is given a glimpse of the creative side. Featuring: John Mann (Spirit of the West); Shari Ulrich (Pied Pumkin and UHF); and Norman Foote (entertainer extraordinaire) – all award winning songwriters.
Before the concert, join us in the lobby at 6 pm for a reception where you can enjoy complimentary wine and cultural appetizers; connect with others; and appreciate a gallery of donated art pieces on display, which are also available for purchase through a silent auction with proceeds going to SOS Children’s Village BC.
